9. Will Be Smart Kids run on Intel Macs?
Be Smart Kids is not a Universal Binary application. This means
it is designed to run on Power PC processors G3, G4, and G5. We
do not support installing Be Smart Kids on Intel Macs at this
time and advise against it.
For the program to run on an Intel Mac, the computer uses a Mac
OS X feature called Rosetta, which helps Power PC software on
Intel Macs. When running Be Smart Kids with Rosetta it causes
the system to run harder than necessary.
We are working to make Be Smart Kids Universal Binary, so it will
run safely on any system. Until then, please install Be Smart
Kids on PPC Macs only.
